Relationship between hepatic cysts and pulmonary nodules

Liver cysts and lung nodules are generally not related. These are two diseases of different nature in two systems that can co-exist or occur separately. Liver cysts are a common benign cystic disease of the liver, and common causes include congenital formation, inflammation, trauma, and tumors. The clinical manifestations of different types of liver cysts are different. Some are asymptomatic, while symptoms such as abdominal distension and abdominal discomfort may occur if the cysts increase in size or compress important tissues. Lung nodules are focal, round-like, solid or cystic solid lung shadows with increased density occurring in the lungs, usually asymptomatic, mostly found during CT examination of the lungs, with a wide range of etiologies, such as tuberculosis, pulmonary fibroma, lung cancer, etc., and are classified as benign and malignant. If liver cysts and/or lung nodules are found on examination, we should actively improve the examination to clarify the cause of the disease and standardize the treatment under the guidance of doctors.
