About papulosquamous dermatitis in children

With the arrival of spring, papular dermatitis in children will also be at its peak. Papulopustular dermatitis in children is also known as “friction mossy rash in children,” “pediatric sandy dermatitis,” “Sutton’s summer itch rash,” “papular dermatitis in children,” “papular neurodermatitis,” and “recurrent papular rash in children. “In 1984, a consensus was reached by the China Pediatric Dermatology Research Collaborative Group that a diagnosis of was appropriate. The etiology of papulopustular dermatitis in children is still unclear, and there is not much research data on this disease at home and abroad, mainly theories of contact friction irritation and viral infection. The site of onset of the disease is mostly described as the back of the hands, elbows and knees in foreign countries, while in China it is mostly the back of the hands, wrists and forearms, and then the lateral hip and lower extremities, with the knees rarely appearing. The initial rash appears as a few scattered small rice-grain sized skin-colored papules without itching, gradually increasing in number and gradually spreading to the forearms of the wrists, the color of the rash gradually becomes red and itching gradually appears, and some children will spread to the whole body after 3 weeks. The cause of papular dermatitis in children is not clear, so treatment is mainly symptomatic and insensitive, but some children may recover spontaneously in about 2 months. We will soon be conducting a questionnaire survey on factors related to the development of papular dermatitis in children, and parents of children with papular dermatitis are welcome to participate. Please leave a message in the inquiry section to request a questionnaire.
