Clinically, there is no such thing as “the three foods most feared by cerebral infarction”. It is recommended that patients with cerebral infarction avoid high salt, high fat and high sugar foods. Long-term consumption of high-salt, high-fat and high-sugar foods may easily induce hypertension, hyperlipidemia and diabetes, which may cause cerebral arteriosclerosis, narrowing of blood vessels and lead to cerebral infarction or aggravate the symptoms of cerebral infarction, and neurological dysfunction. Pickled salted vegetables, ham, bacon, and over-salted food are all part of a high-salt diet. Fried foods (such as doughnuts, fried chicken), fatty meats, nuts, etc. belong to high-fat foods. Drinks, candies, cakes, honey, etc. are high sugar foods. It is recommended that patients with cerebral infarction should have a low-salt, low-fat and low-sugar diet, and eat more fresh vegetables, vitamin-rich fruits, eggs, milk and so on. Cerebral infarction patients should go to the neurology department of regular hospitals for follow-up and regular monitoring of blood pressure, blood lipids and blood sugar. Use medication and adjust daily life style under doctor’s guidance.
