Farting is not a symptom of stomach cancer. Normal people will fart when their gastrointestinal function is intact, i.e. anal exhaust. The gas in the gastrointestinal tract may come from the patient’s swallowing to the middle of the stomach and small intestine, or it may be the gas produced by the gastrointestinal tract through the intestinal tract itself when digesting food. If a patient has stomach cancer, he/she may have vague pain or distension in the upper abdomen or even indigestion, acid reflux, belching, burping or even black stool. The cause of black stool is mainly due to bleeding on the surface of stomach cancer, which is produced after the blood is digested and absorbed in the patient’s intestine.
