Ultrasound examination of the fetal heart is usually performed with a high-frequency probe to determine the position of the fetal head in the uterus and to obtain comprehensive information on the development of the fetal heart by performing different views of the fetal head at specific times. These include four-chamber heart view, left ventricular outflow tract view, right ventricular outflow tract view, left ventricular long-axis view, short-axis view of the aorta, aortic arch view and ductus arteriosus arch view to observe whether the ductus arteriosus is constricted, whether the foramen ovale is prematurely closed and the blood shunt.
