The exact location of the Xiaolian point

The Xiaolian point is located on the radial side of the back of the forearm, 4 inches below the transverse line of the elbow, on the line between Yangxi and Quchi.
Also known as Xia Lian (下廉), it comes from the “Acupuncture and Moxibustion A Yi Jing” and belongs to the Hand Yangming Large Intestine Meridian, which has the effect of regulating the intestines and stomach, calming the liver and submerging the yang (inhibiting too much yang qi from rising in the liver), and tranquilizing the mind by clearing the channels and nerves.
There are dorsal cutaneous nerves of the forearm and deep branches of the radial nerve here, which can be used to treat gastrointestinal diseases such as abdominal pain and bloating, symptoms of hyperactivity of liver yang (excessive liver yang, which causes dizziness, dizziness, and headache) such as headache, dizziness, and pain in the eyes, and also localized pain in the elbow and arm, and modern research has found that needling of the Xiaolian acupoints also promotes peristalsis of the stomach.
