What’s with the stomach growling?

Gurgling stomach is mostly seen in hunger, irritable bowel syndrome, intestinal obstruction, chronic gastroenteritis and so on. 1. Hunger: It is a physiological phenomenon that the stomach is hungry and there is no food to be digested because there is no food to eat for a long time, so the peristalsis of the stomach increases, causing grumbling. 2. Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS): It may be caused by increased permeability of the small intestine, increased hypersensitivity of the internal organs, etc. The intestines tend to peristalsis faster, and it is easy for the stomach to gurgle. 3. Intestinal obstruction: it may be caused by intestinal inflammation or tumor, resulting in feces staying in the intestinal tract for a long time, producing a large amount of gas and causing gurgling. 4. Chronic gastroenteritis: most of them are caused by pathogenic infections, such as viral, bacterial or parasitic infections, which can lead to impaired intestinal function or hyperactive intestinal peristalsis, thus causing tummy growling. If the stomach growling is accompanied by other symptoms and cannot be relieved after eating, it is recommended to go to the hospital in time to identify the cause and take targeted treatment.
