What is stenting for cerebral infarction

Cerebral infarction stenting is a treatment for cerebral infarction that involves placing a stent in the infarcted or narrowed area of a cerebral blood vessel to prevent intracranial ischemia caused by the narrowed or infarcted vessel.
When there is significant stenosis or occlusion of blood vessels in the brain, patients will experience symptoms such as limb weakness, blurred vision or even hemiparesis, hemianopsia and aphasia. When the ischemia of brain tissue is severe, cerebral edema may occur and endanger the patient’s life. In order to avoid a series of clinical symptoms caused by ischemia and to improve the quality of life of patients, stenting can be chosen to treat blood vessel stenosis or occlusion.
Cerebrovascular stenting has now become one of the preferred treatments for cerebrovascular stenosis or occlusion, with the advantages of less trauma and obvious effect.
