The recurrence rate after resection of small intestinal mesenchymal tumors is high or low, depending on the risk rating. If the risk degree is below moderate, the recurrence rate after resection is relatively small; if the risk degree is moderate or even high, the recurrence rate after resection is relatively high. Small intestinal mesenchymal tumor is one of the manifestations of gastrointestinal mesenchymal tumor. When the volume of the patient’s mesenchymal tumor does not exceed 2.0 cm or the volume is between 2.1 and 5.0 cm, and the nuclear schizophrenic image is not more than 5/50HPF, the risk degree belongs to the low grade, and the recurrence rate after surgical resection is relatively small. When the patient’s mesenchymal tumor volume is less than 2.0 cm and the nuclear schizonts are 6 to 10/50HPF or the volume is more than 5 cm and the nuclear schizonts are more than 5/50HPF, the risk degree belongs to the intermediate-high grade, and the recurrence rate after surgical resection will be higher. Under normal circumstances, patients with small intestinal mesenchymal tumors routinely need to undergo pathological biopsy after surgical resection to grade their risk level in relation to the size of the lesion, and they need to go to the hospital regularly for review if they have a high recurrence rate.
