Astragalus Sexual Flavor and Meridian

Astragalus is slightly warm and sweet in nature, and belongs to the spleen and lung meridians. Astragalus is the root of Astragalus membranaceus or Astragalus membranaceus, a leguminous plant. It is used to replenish qi and elevate yang, promote diuresis (to relieve urination and eliminate edema), generate fluid and nourish blood (to replenish water and blood), stabilize the surface and stop sweating (to stop sweating by strengthening the surface of the muscle), promote stagnation and paralysis, support toxins and expel pus (to expel pus and toxins in the body), and astringent sores and regenerate the muscle (to help sores to heal more quickly, and to promote the growth of new flesh). Note: Astragalus is contraindicated in the presence of solid evils, dampness and Qi stagnation (the body’s Qi is not flowing smoothly due to the obstruction of dampness), intestinal stagnation, and yin deficiency and hyperactivity (deficiency of yin fluid and hyperactivity of yang qi). The use of medication must be under the guidance of a professional doctor, not self-medication, in order to avoid aggravation of the condition.
