Iliotibial Bund Syndrome usually takes about a month to recover, some recoveries are slower and may take longer. The iliotibial bundle is located on the outer side of the thigh and knee joints, and prolonged irregular movement may cause localized sterile inflammation, with the outer side of the knee joint being the most common injury. Usually the recovery is faster, and rest is usually sufficient for recovery, and it can be back to normal within a month or so. Iliotibial bundle syndrome may cause knee pain, especially when the knee is flexed, which is usually identified by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). If the symptoms do not improve with rest, the symptoms can be relieved by local physical therapy and oral non-steroidal pain medications such as ibuprofen and celecoxib. It is important to note that the above medications should be taken under the guidance of a physician, and once symptoms such as iliotibial bundle syndrome occur, it is necessary to go to the hospital in a timely manner to seek professional diagnosis and treatment options.
