Chicken Neijin is more effective when taken half an hour to one hour before meals. It is derived from the inner wall of the dried sand sacs of chickens and has the effects of eliminating food stagnation, astringing sperm and stopping seminal emission, resolving stones and promoting lymphatic flow. It is widely used clinically for the treatment of food stagnation, belching and acid swallowing, seminal emission and urination, vomiting and diarrhea, children’s food stagnation, urination, seminal emission, kidney stones, gallstones and other diseases. It can be decocted in soup, or powdered orally, and taken twice a day, half an hour to one hour before meals, depending on the disease. It is safe and non-toxic, but it is fishy and can cause gastrointestinal discomfort. It should not be taken in large quantities or for a long period of time. Patients who are weak and have eaten very little may suffer from gastric ulcers or a decline in their middle energy, resulting in nausea and vomiting, so the indications should be strictly controlled in clinical application.
