CMV is cytomegalovirus, a herpesvirus. Cytomegalovirus infection is an infection caused by a cytomegalovirus that is highly specific for cultured cells.CMV is not only a rapid and widespread infection, it is commonly transmitted in the patient’s uterus from cervical secretions and breast milk, and sexual contact can lead to the spread of the disease. CMV infection is also common in bone marrow transplants, organ transplants, and AIDS patients, and is widespread in the population. Patients usually show symptoms of latent infection. However, in many cases, it can attack multiple organs and systems, resulting in more severe disease. If CMV is contracted early in pregnancy, it can be passed to the fetus through blood and placental infections. It is recommended that patients who test positive for CMV be treated and recover completely before becoming pregnant.
