How to take amisulpride tablets

Amisulpride tablets are for oral use and are to be taken as follows:
If the daily dose is less than or equal to 400mg, it should be taken in one dose, if the daily dose is greater than 400mg, it should be divided into two doses; the recommended dose for the acute phase is 400 to 800mg per day, and the highest dose is 1200mg per day; the recommended dose for the stage of predominance of negative symptoms is 50 to 300mg per day, and the optimal dose is about 100mg per day.
The drug is an aniline-substituted psychotropic sedative and is used clinically for the treatment of schizophrenia.
Adverse effects such as drowsiness, blurred vision, nausea, dry mouth, weight gain, and hypotension are associated with the use of the drug.
It is contraindicated in people who are allergic to any of the components of the drug; in patients with pheochromocytoma; in pediatric patients under 15 years of age, and in lactating women.
Patients with diabetes mellitus or risk factors for diabetes mellitus should be monitored for blood glucose during the medication period; patients with risk factors for thromboembolism should be used with caution; patients with a history of breast cancer or family history should be closely monitored during the medication period; patients should not be allowed to drive a machine, vehicle, boat, engage in aerial work, mechanical work and operation of precision instruments during the medication period.
If the drug is needed, it should be used under the guidance of specialized physicians.
