How to treat acute cholecystitis

The treatment of acute cholecystitis includes general treatment, drug treatment and surgical treatment. 1. General treatment: bed rest, fasting and gastrointestinal decompression. 2. Medication: the following medications are recommended to be used under doctor’s supervision. (1) Antispasmodic and analgesic drugs can relieve the patient’s pain symptoms, common drugs are scopolamine, belladonna tablets and so on. (2) Acute cholecystitis patients can be appropriate use of antibiotics (such as cephalosporins, metronidazole, etc.) for treatment. 3. Surgery: complications such as gallbladder perforation, recurrent acute cholecystolithiasis, and continued deterioration of the condition through active medical treatment require surgical treatment. Patients with acute cholecystitis are advised to go to the hospital in time for standardized treatment.
