Do you need to heat up freshly expressed breastmilk?

Freshly expressed breastmilk does not need to be heated if it is fed to the baby immediately; it needs to be heated if the ambient temperature is low. Freshly expressed breastmilk, and the human body temperature is generally consistent, if immediately fed to infants, generally do not need to heat; if the surrounding environmental temperature is low, the temperature of breastmilk will drop very quickly, then need to be heated, otherwise the baby may be consumed after the cold, causing gastrointestinal discomfort. Before expressing breastmilk, hands and containers should be cleaned to avoid pathogen infection; when heating breastmilk, it should be placed in containers and heated to about 37 degrees Celsius through hot water, preferably not more than 40 degrees Celsius, so as to avoid the loss of nutrients. When breastfeeding a baby, the mother should ensure the hygiene and temperature of the breast milk to avoid affecting the baby’s health. If the baby is found to be unwell, it should go to a regular hospital in time and be treated under the guidance of a pediatrician.
