Where is the location of the large vertebrae point on the neck

The Great Vertebral Point in the neck is in the spinal region, in the depression below the spinous process of the 7th cervical vertebra, on the posterior midline.
The Great Vertebral Point is one of the commonly used acupoints of the Supervisory Vessel. The method of taking the point is relatively simple, asking the examinee to take the prone position or sitting position with the head down, there is a bony protrusion on the vertebrae at the junction of the back of the neck in the posterior midline, which can be rotated with the swing of the neck from side to side, this bony protrusion is the spinous process of the 7th cervical vertebrae, and there is a depression underneath, which is the Great Vertebrae Acupuncture Point.
The Da Shi point has the effects of relieving epidemiology and clearing heat, calming the mind (using drugs of heavy sedative nature to stabilize the mind), and regulating Yang and Qi, etc. It can be used clinically for treating fever, malaria, malignant cold (fear of cold) and fever, coughing and asthma and other exogenous heat diseases, and also for treating conditions such as bone vaporization and tidal fever (a burst of heat, feeling that the heat is penetrating from the inside of the bone to the outside), seizure and epilepsy, and strong pain in neck and neck.
The Da Shi points need to be operated by a professional acupuncturist when needling.
