Its working principle is: the subject takes the intelligent capsule with built-in camera and signal transmission device orally, and moves in the digestive tract with the help of digestive tract peristalsis and takes images, and the doctor uses the image recorder and imaging workstation outside the body to understand the whole digestive tract situation of the subject, so as to make a diagnosis of his condition. Capsule endoscopy has the advantages of easy examination, no trauma, no wires, no pain, no cross-infection, no hospitalization, and does not affect the patient’s normal work, etc. It expands the field of view of the gastrointestinal tract, overcomes the poor tolerance of the traditional insertion endoscopy, and is especially suitable for elderly and frail patients, patients with serious heart, brain and kidney diseases, and patients who are afraid of endoscopy. It is called the revolution and direction of endoscopic development in the 21st century by the medical profession. The introduction of capsule endoscopy by GIVEN in Israel in 2000 has filled the gap of small intestine visualization and created a new era of wireless endoscopic diagnosis of the gastrointestinal tract, and more than 340 papers in English have been published so far, showing a good development prospect. In China, nearly 60 papers on capsule endoscopy have been published since 2003. The domestic OMOM capsule endoscope introduced by our hospital, as the world’s second and the first independently developed medical wireless endoscope, has reached the international advanced level in technology, and has three obvious advantages compared with the imported Israeli capsule endoscope currently used in China: ① low examination cost, only one half of similar imported equipment; ② with real-time synchronous image transmission and observation function; ③ in vitro control of the internal camera The camera speed and exposure of the capsule can be controlled in vitro. Therefore, the advancement and practicality of domestic OMOM capsule endoscopy have been better than imported products, and the after-sales service is convenient. At present, seven hospitals in Beijing are applying this equipment, and our hospital is the first hospital in Beijing Chinese medicine system to introduce it. Four advantages of capsule endoscopy Expanded field of view: the true color image of the whole small intestine segment is clear and microscopic, which breaks through the blind area of small intestine examination and greatly improves the diagnosis and detection rate of gastrointestinal diseases.
