Liver periosteum that is less than smooth and dense and rough and uneven echoes within the parenchyma may indicate an organic lesion of the liver. Liver peritoneum that is not smooth and parenchyma that is dense and coarse with uneven distribution of echoes are often described during ultrasound examination of the liver. Normal liver peritoneum is smooth and parenchymal echoes are homogeneous, but if abnormalities are present, the patient is considered to have a liver lesion. Hepatitis, cirrhosis, and space-occupying lesions of the liver can cause similar abnormalities on liver imaging. If the liver peritoneum is found to be not smooth and the echoes in the parenchyma are not evenly distributed, the patient needs to undergo further examination under the guidance of the doctor to make a clear diagnosis and under the guidance of the doctor to carry out active treatment. Hepatitis, cirrhosis, liver space-occupying lesions are often more serious, patients need to strictly follow the doctor’s instructions for standardized treatment.
