What’s going on with the furuncle?

Onychomycosis is an inflammation of the nail groove area and surrounding tissues on either side of the nail plate of the finger (toenail) due to a bacterial or fungal infection. Inflammation of the nail groove is a common skin disease. Clinically, inguinitis is divided into acute inguinitis and chronic inguinitis. 1. Acute inguinitis is mainly due to the bacterial infection after small trauma to the periungual tissues, often showing localized redness, swelling, pain and fever of the fingernail (toe), and pus will appear as the symptoms worsen; 2. Chronic onychomycosis is mainly due to Candida infection, long-term repeated contact with irritating substances or mutagens, etc. Symptoms such as local redness, swelling and pain are relatively mild, and symptoms such as separation of the perinail skin from the nail plate, bulging, discoloration of the nail, grooves, and hypertrophy of the nail plate will occur with aggravation of the symptoms. Therefore, patients with onychomycosis are advised to seek early medical treatment under the guidance of a professional doctor.
