The eyes are sticky. According to traditional Chinese medicine, the liver opens the eyes and liver fire can lead to blurred vision and increased secretions in the eyes. Gentian Liver Pill and Bear Bile Pill capsule are commonly used for clinical treatment. While treating with medication, patients are advised not to smoke or drink alcohol and to eat a light diet. In Western medicine, it is believed that most patients with increased eye secretions are caused by inflammatory stimuli, mostly seen in patients with conjunctivitis.
