What does astigmatism mean?

Astigmatism is the inability of parallel rays of light to form a focal point after passing through the refractive system of the eye due to the different refractive power of the eye at different meridian lines. Astigmatism is divided into mild astigmatism, moderate astigmatism and high astigmatism. Astigmatism cannot be treated, only corrected. 1. Mild astigmatism: It has little effect on vision and does not require special treatment if there is no discomfort. 2. Moderate astigmatism: the most common among astigmatic people, has a certain effect on vision, and is usually corrected by wearing glasses. 3. High astigmatism: It can be corrected with pillar lenses. If you cannot adapt to the full correction, you can be given a lower degree first, and then gradually increase it later. If you can not tolerate glasses, you can consider surgical treatment. If you have astigmatism problems, go to a regular medical institution and ask a professional ophthalmologist to help correct your vision.
