A ground-glass nodule with blood vessels running through it is not necessarily metastatic. The presence of blood vessels in a ground-glass nodule on imaging may be a sign of normal blood vessels in the lungs, not necessarily a sign of tumor metastasis. If the ground-glass nodule is caused by a malignant tumor, the blood supply inside the tumor is relatively rich, and the imaging examination will also suggest that there are blood vessels running through it. Therefore, the mere presence of blood vessels does not determine the benign or malignant nature of ground glass nodules. If the examination suggests that there are blood vessels running through the tumor, it is recommended to repeat the chest CT examination as soon as possible to evaluate the nature of the tumor in conjunction with the clinical diagnosis. If malignancy is suspected, a lung puncture biopsy can be performed to facilitate early diagnosis and formulate a scientific treatment plan as soon as possible.
