How to improve scapular flank herniation in children

Scapular winged prominence in children can be improved by strengthening functional exercises.
The scapula has muscles such as rhomboids, rhomboids, and serratus anterior connected to the chest wall. If the muscles are weakened or paralyzed, it will cause the medial edge of the scapula to protrude and form a winged shoulder. Functional exercises can be strengthened to alleviate scapular winging, such as doing scapular push-ups and stretching the pectoralis major muscle.
Scapular push-ups: do standard push-ups, straighten the elbow joints, do shoulder relaxation and stretching similar to the push-up action, can strengthen the muscle strength around the scapula. Stretch the pectoralis major muscle: hold the edge of the table with both hands in reverse, leave the body a little distance, and then do a squatting action.
Functional exercises can strengthen the muscles around the scapula, thus improving the scapular pterygoid process.
It should be noted that if the children’s body is particularly thin, the scapula will also have a bulge, not necessarily winged scapula, may consider deformity, joint pathology and other reasons, it is recommended to go to the hospital to consult a medical doctor by a professional doctor for judgment and treatment.
