The main clinical features of thirst are excessive drinking, excessive eating, excessive urination and emaciation. Therefore, clearing heat and moistening dryness, nourishing yin and generating fluid is the basic treatment for achalasia. Although the treatment focuses on moistening the lung, nourishing the stomach, and benefiting the kidneys for the upper, middle, and lower extremities, the pathogenesis of the three extremities is closely related. Prolonged thirst can lead to stagnation of blood vessels, loss of Yin and Yang, and even a variety of complications, so timely treatment is necessary.
