What causes red eyelids?

Eyelid redness is considered to be related to foreign body friction stimulation, mosquito bites, allergic dermatitis, granuloma, etc.
1. Foreign body friction stimulation: when the eye skin is stimulated by foreign body friction, it can lead to local vasodilatation, which is manifested as red eyelids.
2. Mosquito bites: When the eyelid area is bitten by mosquitoes, it can be manifested as red eyelids, accompanied by itching.
3. Allergic dermatitis: when the skin of the eye comes into contact with allergic substances, redness, itching, tingling and swelling of the eyelids may occur due to allergic reactions, which may also be manifested as red eyelids.
4. Staphylococcus granulomatosis: the disease is mainly caused by staphylococcal infection, the patient’s typical symptoms of redness and swelling of the affected area, increased skin temperature, pain, etc., may appear in the eyelid red phenomenon.
