Side effects of Betanil, known generically as Mirabelone Extended-Release Tablets, include urinary tract infections, tachycardia, nausea, constipation, headache, and rash, the occurrence of which varies from person to person, and it is not possible to state the severity in a uniform manner. Mirabelone Extended-Release Tablets relax the smooth muscle of the bladder and are indicated for the symptomatic treatment of adult patients with urinary urgency, frequency, and/or urge incontinence due to overactive bladder syndrome. Common adverse reactions after administration include urinary tract infection, tachycardia, nausea, constipation, diarrhea, dizziness, headache, and occasionally palpitations (rapid heartbeat, often accompanied by panic), atrial fibrillation, vaginal infections, cystitis, dyspepsia, gastritis, hives, rash, papulopapular rash, itching, swelling of the joints, pruritus vulvae-vaginae, elevated blood pressure, and increases in gammaglutaminase and glutamate aminotransferase. In addition rare adverse reactions after use include eyelid edema, lip edema, leukocyte rupture vasculitis, purpura, angioedema, and urinary retention; very rare hypertensive crises; insomnia has also been seen (frequency unknown). Contraindications include hypersensitivity to the product, poorly controlled severe hypertension (systolic blood pressure ≥180 mmHg and/or diastolic blood pressure ≥110 mmHg), and are also not recommended for patients with severe hepatic impairment and end-stage renal disease. The occurrence of side effects in the users concerned varies from person to person and the severity of the side effects of the drug cannot be stated uniformly.
