Gastric perforation can be caused by a variety of reasons such as gastric ulcer, trauma, tumor and so on. 1. Gastric ulcer: Gastric ulcer is a localized inflammatory defect formed when its own mucosa is digested by digestive juices. Gastric perforation occurs when the defect leads to the rupture of the entire plasma layer, muscular layer, submucosal layer and mucosal layer of the stomach wall. 2. Trauma: when the stomach is injured by stabbing or other traumatic injuries, the external force can lead to penetrating injuries from the skin to the whole layer of the stomach wall, resulting in gastric perforation. 3. Tumor: if the patient has malignant tumor of stomach such as adenocarcinoma, squamous carcinoma, etc., the invasive growth of the tumor can lead to the rupture of the whole layer of the stomach wall, which will lead to gastric perforation. If gastric perforation is suspected, it is recommended to go to the hospital immediately to improve the abdominal CT and other examinations to make a clear diagnosis and carry out corresponding treatments so as to avoid delaying the condition.
