Tongue spitting in infants is usually related to physiological factors such as perception of the world and underdeveloped swallowing function, as well as pathological factors such as oral diseases and hypothyroidism.
1. Physiological factors: small infants usually use their tongues to perceive the world, so it will be manifested as spitting out their tongues; when the swallowing function of small infants is relatively poor, and there is more saliva in their mouths, infants can bring out the saliva by spitting out their tongues.
2. Pathological factors: small infants may also spit out their tongues because of ulcers, thrush and other oral diseases, usually accompanied by crying, refusing to take food and other situations; hypothyroidism may also lead to small infants to spit out their tongues, usually accompanied by abdominal distension, constipation, and tongue width and thickness and other situations.
There may be other reasons for babies to spit out their tongues, so it is recommended to go to the hospital in time for a complete examination and treatment with the help of the doctor to identify the cause.
