Pleural thickening in micro-infiltrating lung adenocarcinoma is usually not metastasis.
Microinvasive lung adenocarcinoma belongs to the earlier stage of lung adenocarcinoma, when the infiltration area of tumor is <5mm, the size of tumor is usually ≤3cm, and there is no proliferation and metastasis, usually there are small nodular shadows or hairy glass shadows in CT examination, and it is very difficult to have pleural thickening, therefore, most of the time, inflammation and granulation tissue hyperplasia are considered to be the cause of the disease.
Generally, microinvasive lung adenocarcinoma can be recovered without radiotherapy or chemotherapy after radical surgical resection. However, patients with micro-invasive lung adenocarcinoma with the above complication still need to undergo pathological tissue biopsy in time to determine the situation and adopt targeted treatment to identify the relevant causes of the disease.
