Right pleural thickening will cause back pain, usually associated with tuberculous pleurisy, pyothorax, diffuse malignant pleural mesothelioma, need to take medication, surgical treatment, chemotherapy, etc. according to the cause. 1. Tuberculous pleurisy: when infected with Mycobacterium tuberculosis, the stimulation of pleural tissue will cause pleural thickening and the symptoms will radiate to the back. Anti-tuberculosis treatment should be given as soon as possible, such as oral isoniazid, rifampicin, etc.; when there is a large amount of pleural effusion, then consider thoracentesis and drainage. 2. Pyothorax: Pyothorax formation with purulent secretion outflow will lead to abnormal thickening of pleura. If it belongs to acute pyothorax, drainage can be considered; for chronic abscess, surgery should be performed as early as possible. 3. Diffuse malignant pleural mesothelioma: the enlargement of the tumor will cause pleural thickening and back pain. It can be considered to do debulking surgery, extrapleural total pneumonectomy. Adjuvant radiotherapy can be performed after surgery with cisplatin and pemetrexed. Right pleural thickening, in addition to the above factors, should also be considered to be thoracic abscess, hematoma and other factors, the current need for timely chest puncture smear examination, to clarify the cause of the disease, and then follow the doctor’s instructions for standardized treatment.
