The colonic hepatic flexure is one of the segments of the colon and the normal anatomical structure of the colon. It is located at the corner of the ascending colon to the transverse colon, almost at a 90 degree bend, and is located below the liver, so it is anatomically called the colonic hepatic flexure. The colon also has a colonic splenic flexure, which is at the corner of the transverse colon to the descending colon and is located near the spleen, hence the name colonic splenic flexure. Whether it is the hepatic region of the colon or the splenic flexure of the colon, because this section belongs to the corner, it is difficult to pass when doing colonoscopy, and the subject will basically feel significant abdominal discomfort, but of course the discomfort varies from person to person.
