The stiff neck will first undergo a physical examination to understand the general condition of the neck by visual touch and percussion, followed by routine blood tests, pathological tests, biochemical tests to determine the nature of the disease, the presence of infection or tumour lesions, and also imaging tests to determine the site of the lesion and the differentiation between the diseases.
