Whether the skin ulcers after radiotherapy can be healed by themselves should be decided according to the size and severity of the ulcerated area, if the area is small, it can be recovered by itself one month after stopping radiotherapy. Radiotherapy is an important method of treating malignant tumors, but radiotherapy will cause some side effects, such as mucosal ulcers, skin ulcers and so on. If the ulceration area is small, it can usually recover by itself one month after stopping radiotherapy, but it is recommended to cooperate with wound debridement, bandaging, and regular medication change treatment, in order to strive for healing as soon as possible. If the ulceration area is too large, it is best to go to the hospital for surgical treatment. The skin at the radiotherapy site should be protected to minimize irritation and to prevent infection and enhance nutritional intake to accelerate wound healing.
