After the tooth is staked, if it is a fiber stake then a resin crown can be made immediately. If the dental staking is metal it usually takes a week of fabrication time in the fabrication shop before the crown can be made. There are generally two types of dental staking, one is fiber staking resin cores and the other is manufacturing metal staking cores. Currently the most clinically used is the fiber pile resin core, this restoration generally does not require a fabrication shop to make, only need to implant the appropriate fiber pile in the remaining root, and then use the resin in the fiber pile for stacking molding, to create the appearance of the crown. Fabrication of a metal post core, this restoration involves implanting a metal post into the remaining root and then obtaining the form by making an impression to fabricate the crown through a fabrication shop. To sum up, the crown can be made right away if a fiber post is used, and it will take about a week or so if a metal post is used.
