There is a switch under the catheter bag, turn the switch along the counterclockwise direction, the urinary catheter will be in an open condition and the urine in the bag will flow out, after the urine flows cleanly the knob of the switch will be turned clockwise again and the switch can be closed. For patients with indwelling catheters, the urine volume of the urine bag is stored to 300-500ml and then the urine can be released once. If the condition requires that the volume of urine be recorded for 24 hours, be sure to record the volume of urine before releasing it so that the condition can be observed effectively. The drainage bag connected to the indwelling catheter in men should be changed once a day, it is recommended.
