How to determine impotence

To determine impotence, we must first distinguish two major aspects: 1. We must ask the patient’s medical history in detail. The patient must have repeatedly had sex several times within 3 months, but the penis could not even be sent into the vagina before impotence can be diagnosed. Multiple times of sex means about 3-5 times a week, about 10 times a month. Some patients tend to have sex only a few times and declare themselves as impotent after sexual failure, which is not correct. 2. To determine whether it is organic or functional, it is usually necessary to ask the patient about his or her history of chronic diseases, such as hypertension, diabetes, hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism or trauma to the spinal cord. If impotence develops after the onset of these diseases, it usually indicates that the impotence is organic. If the patient tends to describe it as being related to his or her work or life stress, or if it is related to marital discord or spousal quarrels after a particular sexual encounter, it is usually psychological impotence.
