Minoxidil is not a hormonal drug. Minoxidil is a peripheral vasodilator, and when used topically for a long period of time, it can stimulate the growth of hair in patients with male-pattern baldness and pemphigus vulgaris, and therefore this medication can be used to treat male-pattern baldness and pemphigus vulgaris. Minoxidil is a topical topical medication and should never be taken orally. It should always be used when the hair and scalp are completely dry, hands should be washed after use, and the medication should be applied to the area of baldness or alopecia areata, and massaged with the hands for 3-5 minutes after application. The most common adverse reaction to this medicine is the symptom of mild dermatitis of the scalp. If systemic side effects or severe dermatologic reactions occur while using the medicine, the medicine should be discontinued immediately.
