What does it look like to be infected by a cat with ringworm?

When infected with ringworm by a cat, the patient may present with ringworm on body parts or it may occur on the face, also called tinea corporis. It is characterized clinically by annular erythema, with multiple tiny papules and papules visible at the edges of the erythema, and is accompanied by intense itching. Because it is a fungal infection-like disease, ringworm itself also causes autoinoculation, so there is one or more bright red spots on the body. Its treatment is mainly symptomatic with topical antifungal medication, or oral antifungal medication if necessary, or prompt medical attention.
