What are the possible problems in minimally invasive tooth extraction?

Minimally invasive tooth extraction mainly refers to the method of extracting teeth by avoiding knocking and splitting, etc. Most teeth can be extracted by cutting the gums with an electric knife, separating the block of teeth with an air drill, or dividing the roots, etc. However, during the extraction process, especially the extraction of wisdom teeth, it is difficult to make the teeth without using knocking force because the roots are close to important structures such as the inferior alveolar nerve, or the roots are fused with the alveolar bone. The tooth is loosened and dislocated upward, but the adverse stimulation of the patient by the percussion force and the possible damage to the nerve increase the incidence of complications of the extraction, and it is difficult to extract the root completely even with the percussion force for some roots that are fused with the alveolar bone. In such cases, the approach usually taken is not to force the extraction of all the teeth, but to stop in moderation, preferring to keep the remaining roots in order not to damage the important structures around the teeth and not to increase the trauma of the patient. The remaining roots will have two kinds of results: 1. Exclusion: the body will gradually expel the remaining roots as a foreign body, manifesting as partial resorption of the roots, and gradually expel upward, so that a suitable time can be chosen to perform the extraction surgery again, at which time the roots are already very easy to extract, with minimal trauma and pain. 2. The tooth root which is partially fused with the alveolar bone, the human body will treat it as part of its own bone, and as long as the surface wound is completely healed and no inflammation occurs, then there is no need to extract the tooth. Therefore, no matter what method is used to extract the tooth, if the root remains for various reasons, there is no need to pursue a clean extraction, and there is no need to worry about any sequelae left behind, just relax.
