Painless Endoscopy

Gastrointestinal endoscopy (gastroscopy, enteroscopy) is the most common and reliable method to diagnose gastrointestinal diseases, and is also an important treatment for some gastrointestinal diseases. However, most patients are nervous, anxious and fearful about endoscopy and refuse the examination, which delays the diagnosis of the disease. In order to meet the requirement of “painless” for patients, our hospital has carried out painless endoscopy to better serve our patients. Painless endoscopy can eliminate the pain of GI endoscopy, avoid common adverse reactions (cough, nausea, vomiting, increased blood pressure, etc.), ensure that patients receive timely and necessary endoscopy and treatment, and achieve early diagnosis and early treatment of GI diseases. Painless gastrointestinal endoscopy is performed by giving the patient appropriate sedative-hypnotic or narcotic analgesic during endoscopy, so that the patient is in a state of conscious sedation or light anesthesia, and the patient is quiet and without any conscious discomfort during the operation. There are certain indications and contraindications for any endoscopy: please inform your doctor of your health condition (hypertension, heart disease, lung disease, etc.) when you request this examination, so that we can determine whether you are suitable for this examination. Post-operative precautions 1. Do not drink alcohol, drive, operate complex machines or instruments, or participate in work discussions and decisions for at least 24 hours. 2.Do not drink alcoholic beverages within 2 hours after the operation. Start with a small amount of light and semi-liquid diet and gradually increase the amount, so as not to have stomach distension, nausea or vomiting. 3.Someone should accompany you within 2 hours after surgery.
