What is the significance of an eosinophil count

Basophils are basophils. Increased counts are helpful in determining allergic diseases, hematological diseases, malignant tumors, etc. Decreased counts have no clinical significance. Basophil is a kind of white blood cell, the reference value is 0~1%, and the absolute value is (0~0.1)×10^9/L.
1. Basophilic granulocytosis: Common diseases causing basophilic granulocytosis include allergic diseases (e.g. allergic colitis, hypersensitivity reaction, rheumatoid arthritis, etc.), blood diseases (e.g. chronic myeloid leukemia, myelofibrosis, etc.), malignant tumors especially metastatic cancers, and other diseases such as diabetes mellitus, chicken pox, tuberculosis, etc., which can also cause basophilic granulocytosis.
2. Basophilic granulocytopenia: no obvious clinical significance.
If there is any abnormality in basophil count, it is recommended to have a timely examination, clarify the cause under the guidance of physician and follow the doctor’s instructions to standardize the treatment.
