In the vast majority of cases, general anesthesia is safe, and there is usually no failure to wake up. General anesthesia is used to suppress the central nervous system through drugs, and when the drugs are completely metabolized by the body, the suppression effect will be lifted and the patient can wake up. Of course, a very small number of patients have difficulty waking up after anesthesia, or even cannot wake up, so we should analyze the reasons. For patients with traumatic brain injury and brain system lesions, if combined with prolonged intraoperative hypotension and overdose of anesthetic drugs, they will not wake up within a short period of time after general anesthesia, and then some urgent treatment is needed to ensure the safety of the patient.
