If white worms are found writhing in the anal opening, the presence of intestinal parasitic infection is highly suspected in the patient. Further routine stool tests and cultures are needed to see if there are worms or eggs in the stool. After the diagnosis of intestinal parasitic infection is confirmed, the patient should take albendazole tablets orally for deworming treatment in sufficient quantity and in sufficient courses. The patient should also be examined regularly and be considered cured only if no worms or eggs are found in the stool routine for more than three consecutive times. Intestinal parasite infection is usually caused by unhygienic eating habits, so it is recommended that patients clean their hands before eating, especially parents of children must supervise their children to disinfect and clean their hands. Intestinal parasites are found in certain raw meats, especially seafood, so excessive consumption of raw fish is not recommended for patients with a high suspicion of intestinal parasites.
