Acute enteritis has more stools usually regardless of day and night, while chronic enteritis usually has more during the day and less at night.

If chronic enteritis, patients mainly manifested as intermittent episodes of diarrhea, abdominal pain and other symptoms, and the nature of the stool, the frequency and the severity of the disease is related to the seriousness of the number of stools significantly increased in severe cases, there can be watery stools or mucus stools, stools are usually more during the day, less at night.
