Underarm surgery aftercare

If it is a minor surgery in the armpit, such as lipoma or sebaceous cyst excision, because the mass is relatively small, the wound can be closed after excision. The patient can change the medication once every 2 days. If it is a larger surgery under the armpit, such as a very large lipoma or parametrial surgery, because there may be a space under the skin after the removal, which needs to be compressed, and there may be a drainage tube placed, then care is needed. If the wound is compressed, check for fluid in the wound during dressing changes; if there is fluid, it should be cleaned out in time for the wound to heal. If a drainage tube is placed, observe the amount of drainage and the color of the drainage tube each day.
