The location of the Changqiang point is at the midpoint of the line between the end of the tailbone and the anus.
Changqiang acupoint belongs to the Directing Vessel. Kneeling or in the chest-knee position, press and take the acupoint in the depression between the lower end of the tailbone and the anus. Changqiang points are used to treat blood in stool, constipation, hemorrhoids, prolapse, diarrhea, dysentery, epilepsy, and lumbar and spinal pain.
The efficacy of Changqiang point is to clear the intestines and drain away heat, relieve dampness, clear the drenching, and calm the collaterals. It can be used with Zhongguo acupoint, Yu acupoint of the large intestine, Yu acupoint of the small intestine, Hegu acupoint, and Ququan acupoint to treat dysentery, and with Lumbar acupoint and Dazhou acupoint to treat lumbar spine pain, and with Baihui acupoint and Gongsun acupoint to treat prolapse of the anus.
