Triclosan Cream, known generically as Halometasone/Triclosan Cream, is used for various types and sites of inflammatory skin diseases, such as seborrheic dermatitis, contact dermatitis, atopic dermatitis, and restrictive neurodermatitis, that have been complicated with secondary infections from triclosan-sensitive bacteria and for which corticosteroids have been shown to be efficacious. Halometasone/Triclosan Cream is a compound preparation, the components include halometasone, triclosan. Clinically, Halometasone/Triclosan Cream is mainly used for the treatment of various types of inflammatory dermatoses in various parts of the body infected with bacteria sensitive to triclosan and for which corticosteroids are effective, such as seborrheic dermatitis, contact dermatitis, atopic dermatitis, and limited neurodermatitis. Skin mottling, capillary dilatation, and purpura may occur with prolonged, large areas of skin, with sealing, or with highly permeable areas of the skin (e.g., face, armpits). As well as delayed healing of the administered portion may occur. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to the active ingredient or any other ingredient of the product. Hypersensitivity reactions induced by triclosan may be masked by corticosteroids. Viral infections of the skin, cutaneous syphilitic lesions, cutaneous tuberculosis, rosacea, perioral dermatitis, acne vulgaris, ulcerated areas, eyes and periocular areas. NOTE Long periods of continuous use of this drug should be avoided regardless of the age of the patient; continuous use should not exceed 2 to 3 weeks. Halometasone/Triclosan Cream should be used under medical supervision.
