The exact location of the Huanjiu point is at the intersection of the outer third and inner two thirds of the line connecting the most convex point of the greater trochanter of the femur and the sacral cleft.
Huanjiu is an acupoint of the Foot Shaoyang Gallbladder Meridian. Huanjiu acupoint is mainly used to dispel wind-dampness and benefit the waist and legs. It is used for treating waist and hip pain, lower limb paralysis (weakness, numbness and pain in the lower limbs), hemiplegia (inability to move one limb at will) and other waist and leg diseases.
The Huanjiu acupoint can be combined with the Comanzhong acupoint, Yanglingquan acupoint and Kunlun acupoint to treat impotence and paralysis of the lower limbs, the Fengchi acupoint and Quchi acupoint to treat rubella, and the Lumbar Yangguan acupoint, Chichibian acupoint and Comanzhong acupoint to treat lumbar pain.
