Adults with severe infections and children weighing greater than or equal to 40 kg, 500 mg every 8 hours, children weighing less than 40 kg (greater than 3 months), 45 mg/kg/day in 2 divided doses every 12 hours, or 40 mg/kg/day in 3 divided doses every 8 hours. Lower respiratory tract infections, mild to moderate or severe, adults and children weighing greater than or equal to 40 kg dosage: 500 mg every 8 hours. For children weighing less than 40 kg (greater than 3 months), 45 mg/kg/day in 2 divided doses every 12 hours or 40 mg/kg/day in 3 divided doses every 8 hours. There is a possibility of adverse reactions with amoxicillin, such as rash, nausea, vomiting, and dizziness. It is contraindicated if there is a positive reaction to penicillin skin test or if you are allergic to this product as well as other penicillins and infectious mononucleosis. It is recommended to use the medication in a scientific and standardized way under the guidance of a doctor.
